Pick one of three facedown talismans to obtain materials. Jizou – Visit the stone statue and play a card drawing mini-game. Keep playing the mini-game to raise the rank of the field and to obtain better materials. Mash on X to make the character dig the higher the gauge is filled, the better the harvest and rewards. Field – A farming field that can be used to harvest plants and to play the “hoe digging” mini-game. Players can exchange conches to unlock additional playable characters to use in battles outside of the main story mode. Talk to the temple’s administrator, who is a conch shell collector. Gate – Exit for battles or exploration missions. The castle-towns come with various facilities that will be unlocked based on the player’s progress with the main narrative. As the player progresses with the main narrative, the base will be further expanded into Ueda Castle, and later into Osaka Castle’s castle-town.
The player may talk to various characters to gain varying perspectives of the current time setting. The Sanada camp acts as the player’s headquarters for the main story, with free-roaming features similar to those introduced in Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid 2. As the story progress’s more exploration areas can be unlocked for the player to explore. Exploration is a battle in which characters can roam to collect materials and complete side-quests. Secondary battles are battles that do not surround the protagonists of the story but rather focuses on other battles happening during the same time-span of the story. Multi-Stage battles are story related and need to be completed in order to advance the story. Unlike previous titles, the game has three different types of battles the player can participate in. Advancing through the story unlocks more facilities to be used in the village. SAMURAI WARRIORS 5Īfter a level meter is filled, some characters may even accompany the player throughout a battle and exploration. Characters can also interact and build relationships with other characters found in the village by giving them gifts. Jizō Shrine, in which the player can leave an offering of his choice and after each battle a blessing of up to three materials can be obtained. Fishing, in which the player can use various types of bait in order to get different types of fish. Various mini-game activities are also new features to the series, these include farming in which the player gets to harvest goods to use in-game. Also new to the series, a village town is available for the player to freely roam. New to the series, certain characters will age over the course of the story. The game focuses on events surrounding the Sanada clan, ranging from a time period with the Takeda clan up till the events of Osaka Castle. The only downside is it takes forever to charge it up after completing objectives once before. While using them isn’t necessary, it can make life so much easier in battle because some of them get pretty rough at times if you’re not overpowered. Furthermore, they’ve also included a stratagem system into this which can give you an advantage in a battle or make a task much easier to complete. They also have added in a day/night cycle which switches thing up a bit but makes battle time limits shorter. The battles are very fun despite being a bit repetitive.
